Al-fatihah

Yasmin Ahmad had passed on. At the peak of her life. When her work and passion is accepted, admired and celebrated all over the world. May she rest in peace.

I love her work. I may not agree with everything she had to say, but i understand her perspective. As a story teller she did it humbly, she connects with hearts and minds. Her petronas ads were wonderful. She is sooo young.

Her death brought a rude awakening to my own vulnerability. I suffer a slow, silent killer... only occasionally showing itself and shocking me to realisation. The bisul episode..., other than the obvious embarassment, is a knock to the head. How fast it progresses, how slow it heals, the risks i faced if things go wrong.

Death can come calling at any time. I only hope God will let me repent and let my death and burial be in dignity to protect my loved ones.. amin...
